your my rock my sword my shield
your my hub in the middle of the wheel
your my lily of the valley
he's my bright and shining star


I had plans.
they didn't work out.
His worked it out better.
who would have guessed.

I wanted easy.
He gave me challenging.
I wanted lovable.
He gave me kids that don't know how to love.
I wanted rewarding.
He gave me a burden.
but he also gave me a reward with the burden.
He gave me a deeper understanding of his burden, a stronger sense of love to those that need it most. and a heart for the lost like I have never known.
I wanted good.
and He gave me better.
He gave me AMAZING.

I saw the hurt in your eyes when I hugged you and told you goodbye. Don't worry though, I won't forget you, He tattooed you on my heart.
